Haha, this is going to be fun for me. I don't have a religion and I've never studied philosophy so pretty much anything I say came straight out of my head and who knows if I'll still think this the next time you ask ^^

Where did I come from...well, scientifically I'd go through the whole reproduction phase with my parents but that doesn't explain the spark of life, the soul. What makes my heart beat? What made my brain give off that first electrical impulse? You could say that something magical happened, that God created me, but I think I'd prefer to think about it in a more scientific way. Perhaps from the moment that the sperm touched the egg it created a spark of energy, a reaction, that started off the whole process of forming cells and tissue and organs that become a fetus and then a baby. What then of my personality? Well, if you look at environmental psychology a lot of who and what you are comes from where you live while you're growing up. Will a thief among thieves think that stealing is bad? I doubt it. All your morals, ethics and such come to you from your parents, your siblings, your classmates, and nowadays, your tv shows and media. I think a lot of my personality came from books since I've been reading avidly since I was 5, and after my sister began to read she became a bit more like me. We are influenced by others. Likes and dislikes come from what the brain establishes as painful or pleasant stimuli or things we've seen other people do and imitate. So to sum this up, if asked where did I come from (apart from saying America) I'd probably say that I was the product of a series of events and factors that occured both before and during my lifetime.

I do agree in the basis of you are a product of your environment... Such as the comment about thieves living among thieves. Which means that things like morals, values, and beliefs are based upon the environment you come from, (to a degree)... But I strongly believe that personality is partly inherited from the parents, and partly from when you are born.
To answer the question at hand... I came from a middle class family. Both parents from small towns, so there is a strong small town mentality. So saying I own a nice reliable car should be expected. For my horoscope, it is very accurate, (the personality that is described...). The daily mumbo jumbo, that you read in the papers, is just vague trivial stuff meant for fun. The skills I have, run in the family. The same with points of interest, (such as extracurricular activities, hobbies, the kind of humour we share, etc...). I could go on about where I am come from, but that should do.

Philosophically, I don't want to do your homework, but I want to answer your question...so~ for the sake of research...It is my belief that I have had many lives. I have traveled these lives with my Soul Mate, My Twin Brother. My Womb-Mate. I believe that before each life, I was allowed to sit down with GOD and distinctly choose my parents, my circumstances, my life's path, the events that would unfold, and the people with which I would come in contact with. (Far stretch?) So! You Asked. GOD returned me back to the physical plane the realm of the relative. For I existed with him and others in the realm of the Absolute. Birth and Death are essentially the same. They are monumental moments of time in which you have made your mark in the world. You have come so far to do it, you better get some recognition, huh? So, with the question being so vague...I will stop there...I come from the Realm of the Absolute. Where I resided temporarily until I chose what to do with my life again. It's NEVER ENDING you know. We can do this OVER and OVER and OVER... Why? For the mere THRILL of it. Because we LOVE IT. Why else?

I am a philosophical independent with strong ties to Objectivism, Empiricism, and a smidgen or two of Existentialism. This is where I came from:

My mother and father made the conscious, rational, and reasonable choice to have consensual sexual intercourse. My fathers sperm fertilized my mothers egg, which divided and grew. Over the course of roughly nine months all essential organs and body parts were formed and my mother gave birth to me. I became conscious and aware of the world.

Several generations of this preceded this, to an unknown beginning, although I lean towards single celled organisms evolving, but am not entirely convinced.

I came from an idea that was well thought out. Just imagine the complexity of formulating a theory to produce a physical manifestation of a well thought out idea. I already know the basics of how mankind reproduces. But this idea to incorporate exactly what I need and exactly where it needs to be and exactly how many are produced to put me together.

Then add the capacity of intellect of recognizing that "I AM." What a tremendous idea!

I didn't come from a monkey but I do believe in evolution with reservations. I ultimately came from two microscopic one celled organisms a sperm and an egg. That is where my physical body came from but where (and what) my conscious and unconscious mind came from and is is not known to me or to science. That mind goes into "hibernation" every night in a state not unlike death because it is unconscious and totally without the ability to come back to consciousness on its own; but it does. This is my primary proof there is something other than me (God?) which (who?) is positively concerned about my living and may be where my mind comes from..
