On saturday I fell on my elbow. It left a red bump but the next day it was gone and it's just my bone that hurts. The pain has lessened, but when I twist my arm, it cracks (but it doesnt hurt). On the outside, there isn't a bruise but when you press on where i fell, it hurt really bad.

Any ideas what is wrong with it? What are the consequences of not going to a doctor? Will the doctor give me a cast if it's just a bad bruise?

ok it may not hurt cause you have a high pain tollerance. it runs in my family. once my sister fell on concrete right on her elbow, she could crack it and it was bruised and she kinda held it funny but never complained(she was 8), she could to front flips and cartwheels so we thought it was fine but since she always held it funny and was still bruised, we took her to the doctor and got it x rayed and it was chiped and broken. she is now 10 and is about to have surgery cause we waited so long that she had to have a cast a long time and didnt realize she was damaging it .so if i were you i would get an xray.

You could have just bruised the area badly inside, called a contusion. You don't necessarily have to have the bruise look on the outside. You could have chipped a bone when you fell. The doctor will not give you a cast if its a bad bruise. Suggestion to use the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). Try wrapping your elbow with an ace wrap, take some ibuprofen, apply some ice & try elevating your elbow above your heart if there is swelling. If it doesn't get better in another week or 2 and its very troublesome, go see your primary doctor who may even refer you to an Orthopedic Surgeon. (bone specialits)

It may just be a bad bruise. Depending on what you fell on or how hard you fell you could have some small fractures. If it doesn't get better in a week I would probably go get it checked.

It is probably just a bruised bone but you would need an x -ray to know for certain if anything is broken.

It sounds like you might have cracked a bone.
Try to get it xrayed. Put it in a sling till you find out and ice it.
