Because we get no respect. Why just the other day I was trying to take a bone away from my dog...and it was in my finger.

Because it's good to make people laugh. Of course if they are just actting stupid.. that's a different story.. and I'd go with the "to get attention" theroy. Is what they are doing really funny? If it is.. and they are actting stupid to do it.. I'd say they must be a really considerate person who puts the happiness of others above their own self. (And if they are REALLY good at it.. they can become famous and make a lot of money with it.. look at all the slap stick comedians out there that made it big by doing stupid things for the sake of a laugh)

That's nothing- I'm married to a joker..... believe you me- it's embarrassing at times. You know, human beings are different from each other. The extremely serious people are the ones who get very annoyed by extremely fun and joke loving people. It's because that person is the exact opposite of what you think is cool or acceptable. Let the person be the way he/she is.... as long as you are not getting hurt by it. Obviously it's hurting you emotionally, but you have no right to put the person down for being different. It's a free country/world.

Some people do this for attention - Especially those who go unnoticed. When people are lonely, they're willing to try anything for attention, good or bad. It makes them feel like someone actually knows they exist.
As for others, they do it to make friends. Some people (such as myself) have a difficult time socializing with others. If you crack a joke of some sort, and people laugh, they may (eventually)
become your friend. I do this sometimes, though half the time I wind up embarrasing myself.

Because some people will just laugh at anything that others are laughing at. Others seem to think it's smart to laugh at cruel & crude things because that's what they think is expected of them. Basically it's because they want to feel they belong in a group.
There are also a few people who laugh at cruel & crude things as a release for tension or because otherwise they'd show how upset they are.

Some reasons are:
- insecurity
- attracts attention to them
- natural personality
- wants to become popular
But mostly, some people just like hearing people laugh. I dunt act stupid, but my natural personality (as people wuld describe as innocent, or so they believe) makes people laugh, and I just luv to watch people's faces brighten up as they laugh, becuz it makes me feel happier.

well im sorry that you have no sense of humor and dont know how to laugh..but just because you dont like laughing doesnt mean u have to be mad at the ones who have enough of a personality to be able to laugh and know how to make people laugh too

Self-esteem issues. Or, maybe they're just trying to make friends. (Having no friends sux, right?) Of course, it's better than people who act rude because they don't care about others' reactions.
