When I fuel up, I like to put in an even dollar amount. When I'm doing little pumps, am I really getting the gas I'm paying for?

Having spent over a year as the service manager at a service station I can say that the pumps are quite accurate.

Yes, you actually get a lttle bit of fuel. The pumps are regulated by a state department. Try it yourself. Pump just a little bit into a gas can penny by penny, you'll see it come out.

i have heard that when you do that, gas actually sucks back into the hose & doesnt all go into your tank. therefore paying for gas you do not get!
