Standard form means arranging terms from highest exponent to the lowest. All similar factors are combined. All numerical values are on the right side of the equation and variables on the left. example 3x^6 + 2x + 3x^7 - 4 - 4x is not in standard form because it is not arranged fron highest to lowest exponent. it should be 3x^7 + 3x^6 + 2x -4x -4. but wait since there are similar terms you must combine it to make it standard ( see 2x and -4x). it should now be 3x^7 + 3x^6 + -2x -4. but it should be 3x^7 + 3x^6 + -2x = 4. If the polynomial has multiple variables like 4xy + 4x^2y you must arranger them based on the sum of exponent of variables.

since 4x^2y exponents sum is 2 + 1 = 3
and 4xy is 1+1 = 2
4x^2 should go first than 4xy.
Then it should be 4x^2y + 4xy.

By the way the ^ symbol means exponents or "to the power of."

like a linear equation?
idk if this is what you want, but
2x-3y=15
(i don't know if that equation has any answers or not but this is standard form)
