Joan comes to town, every sunday, and is there from 8am-12pm (if I remember correctly), and then every day Nook has 2 different selling prices, an AM price and a PM price. Check your prices every day, and if they keep going up, you should have a spike, I can't remember the exact detials, but spikes are usually a couple hundred/turnip, and usually happens around Wednesday or Thursday. If you do not have a good price at Nooks, do not sell them, simply buy as many tables as possible, and put them in your house, as they do not rot on tables, and I am pretty sure they do not rot in storage cases either, but please do not quote me on that second part, lol.

turnips are sold by a wondering "Boar" named Joan. She only comes to town on sunday mornings. You have to get up early to catch Joan.

Buy them from the old person on Sundays, then wait for the best day you have seen for resales and resell them. But be careful. After a week they will rot! Good luck! :)
