I need some names of songs or artist that are a form of hip hop or R&B that have strings like guitars, violins, etc playing in the music.

Check out a group called Nuttin' But Stringz. These are two guys from NYC who were trained at Juilliard and now play hip-hop violin. http://www.nuttinbutstringz.com/... is their website.
The group will be featured on the soundtrack to the Disney movie Step Up.

the entire miri ben-ari *the hip-hop violinist* cd. she performed on a lot of songs produced/featuring/performed by kanye west. the one that sticks out right now for me is "overnight celebrity" by twista.
