Because Black is dominate, and plus society says that if you have "one drop" you are Black. Halle looks Black trust me I know I'm Nigerian, Mariah looks White and Tiger looks mixed.

Hmmm I think if they are on the darker side most people will say they are black. I personally see Halle Berry as been black same as Tiger woods. But mariah carey she doesn't look black to me. I know in England mixed races are genrally called half cast. Thats like a asian mixed with a white person what would you call them? White or asian. More than likely they will still get classed as asian.

i think peole go on what the person looks like though if their skin is lighter or darker i'm not sure why people even bother to think about catoriguzzing people with equel parts of white and black they are exactly that. I have afriend who i've known most of my life who is an equel mix of black and white and i never though to catorigive her as white or black till just now and i'm not sure what i would call here siince shes the perfect medium of color thoug reall shes what she is . It really doesn't matter though does it. though if i had to catorigive mariah cary should would defently fall under the white catogorie i had no idea she was mixed then again i knew some one ith some really pale skin that i never new she was black till she told me maybe thaqt whate mariah is

Yeah I've noticed. I thought it was a total crock when Halle acted all emotional for being the first black woman to win that award. Hell, it's only because she's half white, has lighter skin and more caucasian features that everyone thinks she's so pretty!

Yes, sadly "the whiter you are, the more right you are" is the mentality today and has been for years. And some people say muslims are terrorists, while people are gettin killed and blew up cuz of the color of their skin, and some of those hateful beings who commit these acts do in the name of jesus. I've been asked my race for federal training and refused to answer it. I saw the interviewer fill it in anyway. Just fill in them white spaces, even though it was not legal. I give out as little info as necessary.
