It is possible to be correct, but it's not possible for something to be perfect. Perfection is an abstract concept of something that is completely and totally free from error; it's impossible to achieve since everything can be improved upon. For instance, even if I were to spend an entire day writing out a comprehensive, beautifully written answer to this question, it could still be improved by altering it for clarity, length, etc.

If you are answering an essay question you may be correct but you may have left out some minor detail. For instance I have long hair, I have hair that is 42 inches long. In the year that the Lincoln Memorial was built, or The Lincoln memorial was built and state the year it was built along with who built it and why, depending on what the teacher had taught you and the detail that he/she asked for. The more detail usually the more perfect.
There is no room for improvement is perfect. Correct could be sloppy, meaning not complete.

Correct means that something meets a standard, is true, and/or free from error.
Perfect means lacking nothing or of highest excellence.
So an answer to a question may be correct (meeting a standard or true) but not be perfect (lacking nothing). A person can do things correctly (again, meeting a specific standard) but not perfectly (lacking nothing).
