well, i was wondering, just out of curiousity, whether anyone has any fun ones (painful or not painful..... i dont care lol)?
actually, i might prefer something painful (not THAT painful though), because i might just do it with my friends or my siblings, when i'm bored. (you know, the kind of game where you do rock paper scissors and when you lose, everyone has to flick your forehead? that kind of thing. not exactly a 'hand game', but thats what im looking for)

Cat's cradle and other things you can make with your fingers and string. I used to have a little repertoire...like london bridge, witch's broom, etc.

The clapping games like Miss Mary Mack and Pretty playmate, of course.

Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack
All dressed in Black Black Black
Went up a ladder, ladder, ladder
And slipped right back back back
(that's all I remember of that one)

And Pretty Playmate.Lyrics

Oh pretty playmate
Come out and play with me
We'll bring your dollys three
Climb up your apple tree
Slide down your rainbow
Into your cellar door
And we'll be best of friends
Forever more more more more more

Oh pretty playmate
I can't come out to play
My dollies have the flu
Boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo
I have no rainbow
I have no cellar door
But we'll be jolly friends
Forever more more more more more!

Don't forget thumb wrestling! You clasp hands with the fingers only and then on the count of three you try to pin the other guy's thumb down while keeping your hands on the table.

And football, where you fold up a piece of paper into a triangle and secure the end, then flick it with your forefinger at a goal post the other person makes with their hands.

Then you can squish people's heads between your fingers by looking at them at a distance through thumb and forefinger.

A spontaneous game of Operator can always be interesting when at a party or larger gathering, where you whisper a sentence in someone's ear and ask them to whisper it to the next person. After a while you ask who's turn it is to pass the message and see what it has transformed into. If someone gets it twice, they just repeat what they heard twice. No repeats, you get the message the first time for what it sounds like and can't ask for it to be repeated.. Tell everyone to start with the words "The Operator says" when passing on the message so people will know when it is part of the game and so they have a little warning to listen to it.

Leni Lenape sticks was another thing we did, where each person had two sticks (made from dowls) and you sat in front of each other and banged them on the ground and on each other, as well as against each other's sticks in agreed upon patterns and rhythms. Then you can add throwing them to each other alternately or at the same time, or throwing into the air and catching, never letting go of the banging on the floor rhythm in between tricks.

Well, ok, that's not painful except painfully old fashioned. Wait, here is a "painful" one. Its called Typewriter. Two people get the third one on the ground, one holding the victim's hands over their head and the other straddling them on the legs so they can't kick, and the one straddling begins to "Type" on the tummy of the victim. I know I hated it when my brothers did it to me. :)
