I haven't even bought anyone presents yet, but I have donated to several charities - local, national and global.
I may not have $$ left over to get other people gifts, but I gave myself a gift of knowing that I did what I could to help people that need it.

Nope, I go to discount stores and check out the patrons. If I see one that looks poor and goes to a crappy car in the lot and has poorly dressed kids I give them an envelope with money in it. I'm poor myself, so it's always under $200.00, but it makes me feel better about my situation. I can only do that once a year, but I'm grateful that I can manage it without taking much from my own family. I earn that money by recycling cans. That way it doesn't have to come out of my paycheck.

Yes, every year instead of buying cheap dumb gifts for all my kids teachers, I give each of them a card explaining that our family donates $$ to the local Christian Concerns organization -- they buy food baskets and toys for needy families in our area. I always receive notes back from more than one teacher saying they really appreciate what we do -- they get enough candles, ornaments, candy, etc.

I volunteered my time at the Salvation Army Giving Tree at the local mall earlier this season and went out and bought gifts for them too.

No. But I would because I love my gifts. And if I don't like my presents, I saved it to give the poor people.

I used to give a lot until this years when I was told I will be homeless in March My Mobile home park will be closing I feel so bad I literally have nothing to give.

I went out and got a couple of angels and bought some clothes and something for their hair and it really filled me with the true spirit of christmas, after all every child should have a merry christmas.

I give about 10% of my income to charity all year long.

yes, i go to a soup kitchen and i give food to the homeless and we wrap gifts that poeple have donated to us to give to them. i love helping people and i think that is a good way to spend the hollidays.

truthfully when kids were younger cleaned out toy box and toys good and working donated them
