If the third dimension is 300mm then
550x300x300=49,500,000cu mm
(nearly 50 litres)

No, the cylinders would not fit in. "V6" comes from the fact that the six cylinders are laid out in a "V" shape. No, it wouldn't fit in that space.

You could perhaps get, ooh, two of the six cylinders in. Perhaps a couple bolts at a pinch.
