Surely. Even if it has a special "line" that filters viruses (which sounds like BS to me or computers would also have it), or even it has an anti-virus application in it's software - it can still get a virus.

The virus program must be written to affect the PS3 cpu and it's operating system, and it must have access to the internet from an unsafe location, but it's entirely possible.

In fact, I would say that Microsoft and Nintendo have employees who are paid to create viruses for the competitions platforms.
