They very well could and that is why parents have to be very careful about which video games they let their children play. Children, at a younger age, are very impressionable. If they see the 'bully' beating up people on the game and getting by with it, they begin to thing that maybe it's okay to hit their friend or sibling and nothing will happen if they do. Children do what they see, so if they sit and play that game all day, then it begins to tear down that barrier between right and wrong. And, if a child does something and it is proved to be directly linked to a video game, then the parents should be the ones punished right along with the child.
A great example: A young man in our city, several years ago, was babysitting the 2 neighbor children. He murdered them both and it came out in court that his moral directives had been worn thin by the video game he played many, many hours a day and that was part of the reason he didn't feel anything when he murdered them. He is spending the rest of his life in prison, and the video game is still out there!

I feel that some video games yes they do. They think that if its ok in the game then its ok in life. They don't think about their actions as much when there always doing it in a video game. I have nothing against video games...But I do believe some are really influencing kids the wrong way. I'm age 14 and don't play alot of gory video games, I play need for speed or age of empires, stuff like that. Grand Theft Auto I sometimes play, but I almost never do.

The game is rated M for mature which means you would have to purchase it for a minor for it to influence them. Bully is about a child who changes schools and becomes the omega male with everyone picking on him then his rise through the social hierarchy. Blaming media for stupid fat children is ignorant.

No, they're just computer games. People who can't understand the difference between a computer game and reality shouldn't be allowed to play them.

Yes. There was actually a study about it, I saw it in the news.
What I mean is, if you play a violent game, you won't necessarily want to start killing people, but you'll THINK more violently, but not significantly more.

It's just a game. Does playing GTA make me want to steal cars, kill people, sell drugs, or sleep with hookers? Of course not. Video games don't kill people, people kill people.
