I know this question has been posed, but I would really like to know from the students themselves, why they continously post exam and essay questions on the site and expect us to answer it for them. There are also many requests for Shakespeare "translations." Are the teachers absent from your classroom? Warning too - many of the answers I have read to your homework questions are incorrect and misinformed. Please, are the students searching for other opinions or are they literally expecting us to complete their assignments quickly and never have to actually understand or read the scripts they are expected to?

I don't care for the obvious homework questions either.

However ~ I also think the education model in our schools are 30 years out of date. Why we are asking high school students to drag themselves through a Shakespeare drama is beyond me.

I'd not want to read Othello again, and I have a master's degree in theater!

For me the question is not why are we doing your homework - it is why is this homework considered important to today's student?

A lot of homework given is a complete waste of time. When a teacher assigns a homework assignment, what is his/her motivation for the assignment? Is it going to be corrected? Does it count towards a a grade? Is it really necessary? I agree, some students are lazy and those students will be exposed, eventually. However, other students don't want their valuable time wasted. And too many teachers assign homework without much thought or consideration for their students' time. Some students have a life outside of school. When are they supposed do participate in other extracurricular activities such as sports, the arts, spending time with family, learning an instrument, volunteering, community service, church responsibilities, etc?

I too am a high school student, and I have yet to ask for help on here. In my opinion, it's because people save homework/projects for the last minute and expect that if they just come on here, they won't have to figure the answers out themselved. Why can't they just use the internet? So it's just lazy procrastinators asking for the answers to their homework.

I think they think they have better things to do then study. I'll bet a majority of the kids are logged into another chat room or game and just check back every so often for the answers. I personally might answer 1 question here or there but some kids post question after question on the same subject so you know they aren't even trying to figure it out for them self. And where are their parents when they are supposedly doing their homework?

I'm a student in high school and I totally understand what you mean. I'll ask questions for part of a science project but it bothers me when kids just post their essay questions and expect others to do it for them. That's just as much cheating as looking off of someone else's paper.

If people can find a way to be fed answers rather than actually doing the work, they will. This is just one of many ways they can try to avoid doing actual work.

Kids, ask your PARENTS for homework help. You are taking up valuable space here posting your questions. If you have questions about homework, please ask your teachers BEFORE you leave the classroom. The teacher is your first contact regarding homework assistance. Not this public board.
PLEASE, no more homework questions. Do it yourself or fail!

Hear, Hear, I often wonder why people are too lazy to do their own investigation into topics especially when they have the Net to help them anyway. My guess too lazy.
