Algebra/Calc math question! its easy i just can't think!!!?

WORD PROB:
x represents the # of minutes used on a cell phone bill.

B(x) = 29.95+0.09x

how many minutes were used if the bill was only $35.98?

35.98-29.95 = 6.03
6.03 divided by .09 = 67

First you substitute
B(x) = 29.95 + 0.09x
$35.98 = 29.95 + 0.09x
Subtract 19.95 from both sides.
6.03 = 0.09x
divide both sides by0.09
x = 67

35.98=29.25+0.09X
subtract 29.25 from both sides
6.03=0.09X
divide both sides by 0.09 to get X by itself
X=67 minutes
