brokeback mountain takes place in the 60's . it was considered really wrong to be gay back then. they used to have things called gay bashings that were not pretty. thats y they had to hide that they were gay from everyone. just a little tidbit of info incase u didnt no those things. it ends in the 70's

The 60s. I loved that film. They were so in love, it hurt to watch them go on for so long and not be able to be together forever.
