I have answered a few people who have said that they want to help others with Christmas and other things. They ask for information and then you never hear from them again. Are they all fake?

Probably, sorry there are those like that. Start by looking at their Avatar and then see if they have email off and that sort of thing. Those are good clues.

I only offer advice and if someone needs to talk a sympathetic ear. I am not in a place to help others so you will not likely see me offer unless I am sure I can do just that.

Probably. Don't offer to help, they are probably not legitimate. If you want to help others, contribute to well-known organizations.

This time of year you can go to your post-office and ask for "Letters to Santa." You can, if you choose, "play Santa and respond to the requests in the letter. Of course, the requests can be fake. One never knows.

Donate money to Habitat for Humanity. If you have a lot of spare time you can also help Habitat for Humanity by helping them build houses.
