How do you determine who you give Christmas/Holiday gifts to?

I always make a point of getting/making a gift for anyone who has done something nice for me over the past year. I try to get something that needs replacing (candles, baked goods, stationary,scented bath products) That way it doesn't end up in the bottom of a closet. and doesn't cost a fortune. Often a card is enough, if you add a little personal sentiment. I include my children's teachers, bus drivers, people I volunteer with, scout leaders, etc.

usually festive gifts start with an exchange between those at home only. Then if friends are invited/or invite, you are likely to bring them gifts. To me this is already too much to do. I prefer NOT to exchange gifts, it's always a hassle to think of what to give and I used to always end up with things I don't use/need.

This is a good no great question. I never put much thought into who I give gifts to. I give them to my loved ones, so I guess that is how I determine who gets a gift. Thanks for clearing that up for me. It really is a great question.

i always get presents for my closest friends and maybe someone who might usually get me a gift. and then i buy small chocolates or make food and gift wrap it in case there is someone who gets me a gift but i didnt get one for them. that way i dont feel guilty.
