Japanese not buying the 360 has nothing to do with the 360 being made by an American company. They're not buying it because the 360 doesn't have games, mainly RPGs, that the PS3 has. Even MS acknowledges this, so that's why it went out and got Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series, to make games exclusively for the 360.

All MS makes are first person shooters, which is popular in the US, but not popular in Japan. RPG and weird games are popular in Japan, so until the 360 has that killer RPG, Japanese games are going to continue to ignore the 360.

Sure, why not. As a free country, we always try to dictate what people should buy or eat. That's not freedom of choice. As a country, we import these products, so how can we then criticize the consumer for buying the product. That just doesn't make any sense. Are we saying we provide for the freedom to choose but then demand otherwise?

Who is the chairman of the SONY today? And their capital? More than 50% is not Japanese in 2006.
Virtually,SONY is not Japanese company anymore. They have been losing their popularity and their faith in Japan last 5-10 years.
You wanna deny American chairman's company? (I know PS3 is from SCE though.)

I think Japanese youngs haven't deny to buy Xbox360, however, PS3 is more popular. that's all.

Are you serious???

Why should anybody forced to buy something you dont want...

If microsoft wants to sell more consoles there... they should do something new!, our best videogames come from there... Yes, madden is a good one, but I mean really good games.

Look for other ways to try to be a patriot = )

BTW... XBOX360 is made in China and Mexico... think again... the only American thing there are the words... "Microsoft Xbox"

"deny" buying xb360's?
They don't buy them because the controllers are too big, there aren't very many Japanese games, and they like cute little Nintendo DS's better.
There's plenty of 360's on the shelves in Japan, it's not like they're banning import of them or anything.
Oh, and don't make this into "they won't buy US products" -- not a single 360 was made in the US, you know...

Techno products are made overseas AND even the Japanese farm it out to 3rd world countries . . . they aren't made in Japan either . . . too expensive there too.
Stuff is mostly made in Malaysia and other like places.
Just the company headquarters & the R&D departments are in the USA & Japan.
