Animal testing is barbaric. All those saying it's okay and it doesn't hurt the animals need to pull their heads out of their *** because they clearly have to idea of what they are talking about. Animals die needlessly everyday for no reason. We don't need to test on animals we have many alternatives (please do a little research) we can easily genetically engineer human skin and organs for testing. Testing drugs on animals, something I see others think is okay. Well from a human stand point, it is more dangerous to us. Many drugs tested on animals and found safe for animals, kills humans because our bodies function different. Look there are a lot of books out there. I would reccomend Domination, I can't think of the author, but it is about animal rights and experimentation. Just remember we are animals and feel pain, so why wouldn't other animals.

I think that this is TOTALLY WRONG and CRUEL!!!! How could people do such a thing to those poor defensless little animals. What have they ever done wrong to mankind! The animals were placed on this earth to love and to care for not to be poked and prodded. I understand that they are used for research but i still dont care! Find something else to be your guinee pig( not a real one!) if i ever got the chance to meet the people who do this to these animals i would have to put them through what the animals go through and see how they F ing feel!!!!

We just recently discussed this i am on both sides the part of it is they test on these animals so that us humans are safe and unharmed from certain products,, the other part - animals do sumtimes get hurt when this happens but it all balances out but... overall id rather be thankful for being safe

Ok..in school, I did a paper on animal experimenting. In it, I was against experiments on animals...but now...my stance is different.

Ok..i agree with experiments on mice/rats whatever as long as the research is for helping humans. (Eg.: studying cancer, finding cures, researching different diseases in humans.)

I don't agree with using animals to test out shampoo, cosmetics and things that won't help human health.

One statistic that often gets forgotten in this debate is that way more than 90% of all drug trials/tests conducted are done on humans.

That doesn't affect whether animal-testing is "good" or "bad", but it's worth thinking about...

I am a huge hunter and fisherman...certainly not an animal rights activist, but that said, I cannot stand to be cruel to an animal. Good hunters have ethics. This may be hard for a non-hunter to understand, but I do not like to see any animal in pain. If you kill, you want it to be quick and clean as possible. It bothers me to go to a zoo and see animals kept in small cages. I know some animal testing may be necessary to save human lives, but boy does it seem cruel to intentionally inflict pain on these creatures and then to allow them to continue to exist in pain.

certain experiments need animal testing; others do not.

Rabbits need not go blind for my wife to get the latest in mascara, but if a pig can help us understand the mechanics of sunburns, (as we are really close to pigs), then let's go forward

You are alive and healthy because vaccines and drugs and chemicals were tested NOT necessarrily hurting an animal

If it is to help and cure disease, I say no, recently not only human sick and animals too. And chicken flu is one of them that affected humans and animals. If animals is better first after we treating their sickness, we have hope in our lives to cure ailments too.

I'm absolutely for it. Those that are against it will have an extra 28 years of their life to complain about it because of it. I could never do it myself, but I see the benefits and they can't be denied.
