Since Promethus is a mythological character, his clothing would reflect the civilization that created him. However, since civilizations evolve, his clothing would evolve as well. You could do a research for historical representations of him, and gain your ideas that way. The older the representations you find, the closer you are to actually showing him the way he would have been known in the original stories.

Its kinda like picturing King Arthur. The closer you get to dressing him in the period costumes of his time (5th century Briton) rather than the medieval resurgence of his popularity (10th century and beyond) the more likely you will understand what he might have dressed like.

You can also do an allegorical representation, maybe a t-shirt with a buzzard tearing through skin and eating a liver (since that was his punishment for disobeying the gods). Wearing a picture of a man shackled to a rock would also work since that is what allowed the buzzard to feast on his innards.

The site below has a painting of Prometheus. Should be easy to dress like him.

Mythological beings don't generally write autobiographies. As for dressing as him, a loin cloth and shackles would work, but I think you will attract a lot of attention from gay folks.

An autobiography of a fictitious God of the ancient world. How totally ignorant.
