Well, if it's a first date you want to keep it light, if you want a romantic movie go for something with a little comic twist to it. If you are renting I would suggest something like Just My Luck w/Lindsey Lohan or 50 1st dates with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler is funny and romantic. Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon is great romantic and comical.

Or if you are going out to the movies you might just consider going on your local movie website printing off a list of what each movie is about and ask the person which movie interest him the most...trust me I'm sure if you ask ,he will be more than glad to tell you...And if he asks you don't say "oh it doesn't matter...be honest and tell him which one you like...then await for his answer and see if you both agree... you will learn more about your date that way...

Good luck...

Oh, Eragon looks really good...at the movies if you like that kind of movie (he is a dragon rider) The holiday is a romantic movie (coming out at the movies) there are always the Holiday movie choices.....

No movie on a first date. You might as well be by yourself. You're not interacting at all for those 90 - 120 minutes and you don't really know how the other person is receiving the movie. It's hard to get that after the movie, too.
I suggest you eat a meal together, face to face, and talk and get to know each other and see if you even like being together and how you interact. Find out soon and don't waste your time. A walk is good too. Some find this easier to talk, but I want to see the other person's eyes and facial expressions when they speak.
Just my opinion....

Well for us it was Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back... We've been married now for almost 5 years, so I guess Kevin Smith could be called the matchmaker lol.

As far as current movies go, I would probably say The Holiday would work.

Well I would know. It depends on the type of guy u think he is. Is he the type Gangsta, nerd, or none of the abouve. If hes gangsta but he cares, see a funny movie, or ifhes a nerd, funny or girly, and none of the abouve, just dont do romance. No one likes it!

If you were going to the movies this weekend it would probably be 'Holiday' w/ Cameron Diaz.
