The most beautiful that that has happend to me, was realizing that there is more to life then meets the eye. I tried to comite suicide and obviously failed, but after i survived that, i realized that there is nothing to be so depressed about to feel the need to take my own life. It is beyond words what it took to make this universe up and I'm apart of that. I dont know why i or anyone else would want to take that away. Realizing that im apart of something bigger then anyone could fathom was a beautiful thing. Philosophy and Zen are beautiful things.

Love! Oh dear, that's not original I suppose but the way it happened was rather unique...
I took a leap (financially, emotionally & otherwise!) & bought a house in a new community. It was the scariest thing I ever did. I'd heard about the city through a friend I worked with briefly on a different shift at work. When I moved here, I became involved in the artistic community, showing my paintings & playing music in a local bar that my friend told me about. I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist. They have a songwriter's night on Mondays so I started going every time I wasn't working. The first night I was there, one of the other songwriters cheered after my set & called out "I'm your biggest fan!" Each week he'd flirt with me. Sometimes we were on stage together & he would play guitar or piano along with me. Eventually we started talking & really hit it off. Not only were we both singer/songwriter/musicians (he's a far better musician than me. He plays guitar, saxophone & piano), we are both sensitive Tauruses. He said he knew the first time he looked in my eyes that I was the one.
On our first date, I went to one of his gigs. One of his most beautiful songs he said he wrote for "the woman he was going to meet" -- it felt like it was written for me. I could picture him singing it at our wedding. I couldn't believe I was thinking that way on the first date! I dated someone for nine years & couldn't even picture marrying him! This feels right. He's the one.
When I think of how many things had to happen so that I could meet him. If I hadn't met my friend on another shift that told me about this community (real estate I could afford!) then I wouldn't have bought my house, wouldn't have been going to this bar & singing, wouldn't have met my soulmate.
I took a leap of faith & everything has fallen into place. My boyfriend & I were even involved in a Guinness World Record at the bar. We (& about 60 other musicians) performed 201 hours of continuous original music. I did 11 hours & my boyfriend did 13 hours. We made the record! So we will be in next year's book. I even ended up on the front page of our local paper as part of the event. My boyfriend is also a producer in a recording studio & is helping me put together a CD.
It's all so magical It was meant to be! If someone had told me a year ago all that was going to happen, I wouldn't have believed it.
I could have stayed in my safe little rut, living in the town I'd always known, dating someone who was safe but wasn't my soulmate, never taking a risk. I never would have shown my artwork, sang for an audience each week, been on the paper, broke a world record & most importantly met my Mr. Right.
Fate is a beautiful thing. Believe in yourself. Take a chance. Take a step toward your dreams & the universe helps you along.
Leap and the net will appear...
Cheers!

A very brief period of intense emotional and physical closeness with the love of my life, over 30 years ago. Then, she was not the love of my life, and nothing beautiful like has happened for 30 years, and probably never will. I'm too old and unattractive for that now.

I called the radio station, during the night program, and one actor was a guest there. He;s quite famous in our country (Piotr Adamczyk, he played the pope in Bacciato;s film) I always liked and admired him... I was then studying at night - preparing myself for a competition concerning poetry... So I called and just talket with him about his favourite poets, etc:) Then he said that probably he is not so good at this topic, but he would read a poem for me...And he did, and.. the whole world heard that was for ME particularly:))))
If it were only a gem, I could break it into a hundred pieces
and string them into a chain to put on your neck.
If it were only a flower, round and small and sweet, I could pluck it
from its stem and set it in your hair.
But it is a heart, my beloved. Where are its shores and its bottom?
You know not the limits of this kingdom, still you are its queen.
If it were only a moment of pleasure it would flower in an easy smile,
and you could see it and read it in a moment.
If it were merely a pain it would melt in limpid tears, reflecting its
inmost secret without a word.
But it is love, my beloved.
Its pleasure and pain are boundless, and endless its wants and wealth.
(R. Tagore)

I was using drugs pretty heavily and was close to certain death. I had been up for days and got to that point where it was live or die. Obviously I chose to live and got up and walked over to the 7-11 to get some GatorAid. This woman in a car pulled up and asked me for directions, which I gave her. In her passenger seat was a small furry puppy which was about the cutest thing I had ever seen in my life. She said, "Do you like him"? I said "he was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life". She reached over and handed him to me and said, "I raise them for people who need to learn about love". Then she handed him to me and said, "Take good care of him because he is going to take good care of you". Then she drove off. I would not have given a puppy to someone like me at that moment in time. Just shows how little I know!
I have had Boris for almost 15 years and he has saved my life and taught me how to love.
That sweet and wonderful woman, whom ever and wherever she is changed my life and the lives of everyone I have ever encountered. She also confirmed her place in the after-life, whatever it is, it will be fantastic for her!

I discovered this one 2001 red zinfandel from a small California vineyard... it was absolutely perfect. Black fruit, perfectly balanced and complex, with hints of smoke, pepper and vanilla. But the best thing of all was its astonishing finish, long and smooth as silk. An incredible experience I will remember the rest of my life.

You'd have to have read the book "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker to understand fully... In one scene, Celie and Shug are walking through a field and Celie asks Shug about God. Shug replies that God, like everyone, just wants to be loved and that He created the earth and all its beauty for us to show Him our love; she expounds that it “pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it.”
Once, back in college, my best friend picked me up after class and walked me across campus. We were talking back and forth and he leads me out to this field; it was brown and barren except for this patch of tiny, purple flowers. He said, "I brought you over here because I wanted to show you the color purple." It was a really profound and beautiful moment for me.
If you haven't read the book, I'd highly recommend it.
