Umaga is a big fat non-talent who is based off the old gimmick of "big fat man from Samoan Island scary." We have already seen this gimmick before (Rikishi, Head Shrinkers, Meng). It's old. Besides, Umaga has no character. He has nothing to get him over. How can you base a charcter on an undefeated streak when every fight he has been in is scripted anyway. If this were extreme fighting or boxing and he were undefeated then he would be the baddest man on the planet.
Wrestling fans need charactersto believe in. WWE is a TV show. The guys on tv are not athletes, but performers there to tell a story. When the story stinks, so do the perfromers.

Okay, first of all he is NOT undefeated! He lost to Kane in a house show to Kane a few months back, but the WWE doesn't want to admit that. Also he wasn't undefeated before that because he was beaten alot of times the first time (that's right, first time) he was in the WWE under the name Jamal when he was part of the tag team "3 Minute Warning." He was also beaten alot when he went to TNA, before he was released, under the name Ekmo. Second of all, the only reason he what he is right now is because Vince McMahon and the WWE couldn't get Samoa Joe so they did something they have been known to do before, they copied the wrestler they couldn't get. Umaga is nothing but a crappy copy of Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe was undefeated for over a year and one of the very few great submission wrestlers who are big guys, as well as being very quick and agile for his size. Umaga is nothing but a creation of Vince McMahon because of Vince's bitterness about not getting Samoa Joe. I hope that answers your question.

Umaga is heel. Cena is face. Simple as that. If Cena stared FUing unsuspecting divas then everyone would turn on him (Personally, I would think that it was damn good tv.). If Umaga started rescuing kittens everyone would love him. We WWE fans are just fickle like that.
