Typically, it takes 2 years, attending full time. However, you can take less or more time depending on your course load, summer school attendance, and if you utilize your option to take the maximum number of correspondence courses (I did a semester's worth of coursework in 6 wks. per course with midterm and final exams.). With an A.S. degree, you choose a major in one of the sciences and a minor, as well. This degree is one-half of a Bachelor of Science degree.

It depends on the school you go to, but it shouldn't take more than 2 years.
