Hendrix was probably the most inventive guitarist of our living age. He was innovative, always ready to try something new, and instead of "Thinking outside the box", he flattened his box. He always had something medaingful to say.

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

He wasn't a guitarist or
a musician. Anyone can pick up a
instrument and call themselves
a musician. He played from the soul
and that is why I love him so much.
He was so humble about it, and didn't want
to be consider some god. He was what he was
a man with passion and love for music and things beyond that.

Fabulous blues player who was more familiar with his instrument than anyone except Stevie Ray Vaughn. His rendition of the Anthem at Woodstock was disjointed and as study in aimless picking and gimmickry rather than solid musicianship.

Fame and dope don't mix.

Hendrix was awesome. It's too bad he didn't live longer. If he had, who knows how advanced quitar playing would be today.
