i'm so sorry. my best advice would be to pray that the Lord will take good care of your hamster. and thank God that he gave you such a good friend. sometimes writing down your feelings about what happened helps. man, i feel so awful about that. hope you get a new one soon that is a good friend too.

First be glad she lived for four years...the average lifespan of most hamsters is only three years. You must have taken very good care of her for her to have lived that long.

I used to raise hamsters when I was young. I know their deaths, especially when they are a good friend to you, are not easy. But, as they say, "this too shall pass," and although it doesn't seem like it now, the pain of missing her will ease over time.

You will have more friends, and "best friends" over the course of your life than you can imagine right now. Meanwhile, commemorate how special she was to you. Make something special to bury with her, write a poem about her, etc. Pets who provide unconditional love are never forgotten.

That is rough, Jessi.

Bury your little friend and give her a little funeral. Perhaps you can plant some flowers or a tree or bush over her grave.

Go ahead and cry if you need to: Your hamster was your special friend for 4 good years, after all. Let tomorrow take care of itself.

Feel better.

Hamsters do not live a very long life. You had her for four years and that is just about how long they live. Take her and bury her in your yard where you can see the grave. Maybe plant some flowers there and make it very beautiful for her and you because you loved her so much.

my daughter and I went thru the same thing. We were shocked that she lived that long. We took her to the local vet and had her buried. It made us feel better to a point. Just give yourself sometime. Dont rush out and get another one cause it only makes the pain worse.
