I'm assuming you mean "bromeliad?" Bromeliads have a very special watering requirement. They need to have a "pool" of water in the center of their leaves in addition to moderate watering of the soil for indoor plants. They also like lots of high humidity, i.e., misting. They also love lots and lots of light, but not direct sunlight. Depending on the stage of its demise, you may or may not be able to save it. Chances are, your water has a mineral salt content that bromeliads don't like. Change the soil, rinse the leaves and roots well and only give it distilled water in the manner described above. Good luck, I hope it survives!

Try misting it every day with distilled water. Mist it heavily enough to fill the leaf pockets. This is how it gets it's water in the forest. The mother plant itself may not come back, but, if your lucky a young one may start. Once a bromeliad has bloomed cut off the flower. It should start growing a baby shortly afterward. Then the mother plant dies. Hopefully this is what is happening and the baby still has a chance.

I think you are talking about a bromeliad....Is the flower turning brown or the plant? The plant need to have water in the throat of the leaves, like a little well. You need to put a small amount of water on the soil every month or so. Hope this helps
