The key is - finding a good water based foundation. Revlon is very good - the clear complexion liquid foundation - using a matte moisturiser. Ponds Clarant B3 is EXCELLENT. It soaks up oil and gives the skin a matte finish before the makeup even goes on - and I swear swear swear by Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing sheets. When you are finished with the makeup application, blot and then add one last finish of powder. And keep a few sheets on you at all times. There is no quick fix for oily skin. The skin will just keep secreting oil. I have oily skin so I know but you can minimise it and control it like this. Good luck and congrats.

Ok here's my advice- you HAVE to get Estee Lauder- Double Wear, Stay In Place Foundation.
It does what it says and ACTUALLY LASTS 15 hours- many foundations claim to do this but don't.
I am a regular gym goer and fitness fanatic- this foundations last from morning till night and even stays in place at the gym leaving you blotchless fabulous and care-free!
It also doesn't stain on your clothes and it really is the very best foundation I have ever discovered.
Hip hip horray for ESTEE LAUDER! Try it- you'll never go back. x

Maybelline Matte in the round dish..and then covergirl powder translucent matte on top to finish off the look..It works wonders and you don't have to continuously apply it throughout the day!

Mac Studio Fix. It's matt, long lasting and you do not need to use powder on top of it. It also gives excellent coverage without looking heavy.

boots no 17 is fab for cheaper one
mac is good for expnsive.
Another thing.....always go over face with loose powder and brush off lightly with a powder brush....gives a lasting result and soaks up any grease build up in the day.

hey,
try l'oreal true match or infallible, both are great. if u want a thick consistency one go for infallible, it's sooooo good and last for ages. i always use it and finish off with true match powder to give my skin and perfect matt finish. definitely worth getting both of them and they won't cost that much either, probably less than £20 for a foundationa and powder!

Mac or Max Factor do a great one. Or there is La Prarie but it costs £95 and is very expensive.
