You have to go on x-box live and download the updates. Or you can go to xbox.com and click on backwards compatibility and they will send you a cd through the mail. You have to pay shipping, but that's all. You can only play certain xbox games and they claim they're adding to their list every day. That is why you have to keep updating.

You just update, only certain xbox games will work. Put one in and it should work.

just update with xbox live check which games work at xbox.com
