My betta fish got stuck and a few scales got rubbed off her back.

I put her in a bowl and treated her with Melafix but today she has a small white thing on the exposed flesh.

what should i do?

I'm no vet, but I'm going to assume that the small white thing on the exposed flesh is the fish equvalent to a blister. The best thing you can do right now is contact a professional, whether it be your local vet (who will certainitly not charge you for a questioning phone call), or a pet store (I would suggest PetSmart, as most of their crew are trained and well-educated in the animal department).

Beta fish are tough and can take a beating. I once had a Beta who had a stroke and only swam on one side for the good part of a month. Eventually he perked back up and lived for another year and a half. You never know with fish, so the only thing you really can do is try to find as much information as possible. Good luck and best wishes!

I would desire to accept as true with Snookie and Carolo43. i replaced into appalled at all the fish you have in a 5 gallon! Can they even turn around? Your Betta has become fish foodstuff, i'm sorry to assert. Your different fish will all quickly die in case you don't get them into ideal tanks. The goldfish do no longer even belong contained in an analogous tank with the others, they're chilly water fish. unlike minded. the sole element you ought to ever shop in a 5 gallon is a Betta, or probable a pair of small fish, like Guppies. that's the worst case of tank over-crowding that I even have heard of in an prolonged time, if ever. Please do slightly diagnosis and study a thank you to exact look after your fish, and what they'd desire to stay a healthful, happy existence.

DO NOT and I repeat do not ask persmart or you petstore because they know nothing! Buy Melafix to put in the tank and this will speed up the process of your fish being healed. But clean the tank out almost everyday because now that its scales are off the betta's skin is shpwing meaning he is in more danger from getting bacterial diseases .
Hope I helped :)

[Background info, Ive been breeding and keeping bettas for about five years now so I know alot about this stuff]

Get ICK treatment, this could be the first sign of this problem, and it could kill your fish: also this mite be died tissue from the scale being ripped off. But the treatment is easy enough so why take the chance. And get the rocks out of there. They look nice but your Betta will try to fight with them, that is most likely how he got stuck in the first place.

Put in some more fish water conditioner so your Betta can heel faster.

If it's a wound, all you can do is keep her water as clean as possible and the temperature stable so she can heal properly.

The best thing to do is probably..... nothing... It will probably take care of itself.
