I'm buying a gift, no more than $25, for a 10-year-old little girl (through a local charity). I don't know anything about her, what she likes, what her hobbies are. Help?

i have a 9 1/2 yr old girl and she loves nail polish , hair tyes, polly pockets, bratz dolls, and arts & crafts things (markers,crayons, colored pencils etc) and BOOKS she loves the goosebumps,american girls doll books.

There's a lot of things little 10-year-old girls like. Go into KB Toys, and you'll find so much. Maybe a game of some type, or you could even spice it up by buying her a cute little overnight bag and stuffing it with things from the dollar store like a teddy bear, candy, a doll, play dough, ect. She would LOVE to have a bag that she can use with a bunch of little surprises in it. Good luck!

I think chocolate is one universal hobby of all girls , and it does make people happy , plus you can find a good chocolate box at $25 or less , http://goodmanzone.tripod.com they have many ideas for chocolate as well as other cool Christmas gifts including gift certificates

How about encouraging her to read? When I was 10 years old I loved Nancy Drew mysteries. They're really good stories. Amazon has a starter set (6 books) for under 20 bucks.

Anything crafty is always a great gift for that age, a diary, a journal. Cool pens with the fuzzy stuff on top.

Eh...I hate to be trite, but all I can think of is a little girls' makeup kit. Or you could get her a book set like Harry Potter, Narnia, or that Lemony Snicket series...
