During the recent Tragic events in Ipswich.. the comments that have been made in my other Question backing calls for Legalised Brothels - got me thinking...But .! no doubt the Government would want a cut.of the action So.just. how would the Government Tax Prostitutes/Escorts . Do you think that an hourly rate for them would be introduced - with the Brothel owner having to pay some sort of licence - Would you consider becoming a new breed of Pimp/Madam..or should Brothels be run by the local Council.

There's a state in Australia that has legalised brothels - sorry, can't remember which.

They have to be run by women. If men are found to be financially involved in the business it is shut down immediately.

There is a limit to the number of girls who can work in each house. Each madam can only run one house.

The madam and the girls pay tax and have mandatory regular health checks, including drug tests. Drug users are not allowed to work in the houses.

The houses are never situated in residential areas.

It would be great if we could just get rid of prostitution, but that's never going to happen.

So I think we should legalise it and tax it. Think of all the schools and hospitals we could build with the tax revenues.

A great point, i pay tax why shouldn't they. The dutch do it.

We will never get rid of the sex trade so why not clean it up. Remove prostitutes to OUT OF TOWN brothels. Give them protection with security/door men and tax them on every punter i.e every punter that enters pay a tax to get in.

same as any business you give your books to your accountant and let him sort it out. madam , bouncer, prostitute. some are on hourly rate/ some self employed, i guess its like any business, yer i think it should be over seen by local government, a bit like health and safety same as if your running any service to the public, checks have to be made, books have to be kept of regular checks by doctors for all girls, but will this keep the street girls off the streets, i don't think so.. but then it might keep the drug pushers using them as an easy target and other young girls likewise

Yeah, get them off the street, brothels would reduce the spread of STD's, because they would be easier to monitor, the girls would be working in a safer environment, and they could charge P.A.Y.E.
