I totally agree!! I have tryed and tryed to get my boyfriend to stop talking about me or us behind my back! It drives me absolutely insane!!! He will tell mutual friends that I'm being a bitc*, or that I'm drinking all the beer in the house for them to "watch out." I believe a persons life should be respected and not thrown out there to be read by everyone.
Good luck

I think you need to relax a little. You are married, and his intentions were in the right place. You are not a drunk and doubt seriously if this co-worker thinks that.
I stopped drinking years ago, because it just wasn't fun anymore. I'm was and am not an alcoholic. I just don't drink now.
Calm down. Take a deep breath. And enjoy the holiday office party.

i assumed you've been getting divorced???? yet no remember. I have considered this difficulty play out previously. the reason he persists is because one way or the different you're giving him what he interpretes to be an indication that announces the door is 1/2-open. We adult males are kinda stupid that way. "i'm busy" is frequently interpreted to advise only that. So he is going away wondering that in case you've been not busy, that you could bypass out for drinks or maybe with with him. so that you could inform him somewhat straight away that you do not care to socialise with him outdoors of work. and those little present/snacks? Take them decrease back to his table unopened. The bottomline is you virtually might want to be rude for him to get the message, because each and each and every time you try to be nice or enable him down gently, he will interprete as an chance.

Telling other people shouldn't be done like that. It's one thing to make it out like it is, a great decision that will affect your live positively. It's another to do what he did and make you seem like a drunk. When my husband stopped drinking it made me proud to be a part of such an awesome decision. Spreading the good news is nice, but you could explain that there are better ways to do it.

It was total wrong for your husband to tell his co worker about that. What goes on at your house should always stay in your house that way no one will have any thing on you to talk about.

Um, it is your place, but he is her co-worker, he had to come up with something.....I say good one for him to cover up for you. I don't think he meant that you were a drunk....I think he was defending you and himself, protecting is a better word.

Hon, usually when people stop drinking, it is because they drank too much to begin with. Don't worry about it so much. Good for you for stopping.

It doesn't matter whether he told her or not. What matters is that you did stop. You will be a recovering drunk for the rest of your life,so what if people know.

Absolutely! He should be loyal to you. Your business is yours and his. Not his coworkers. Forgive him though. Men don;t think as we do. If it happened again I would be upset. In a big way. Set your boundaries with him.
