In poker, the best hand of FIVE cards wins. The best hand you could make (the full house) did not include the ace. If you and another player had tied with the same two pair, then your kickers would have used to decide the winner.

In poker, you only get to use 5 cards. In this case, you both used 3 kings and two jacks. There was no more room for a kicker to be used.

Poker, in most forms including texas hold 'em which I assume you were playing, is a game where players compare their best five card hand. In this situation, your best five card hand was the same as your opponent's best five card hand. Kickers are irrelevant on straights and full houses. As an aside, the highest card in a flush IS a tie-breaking card.

You both used all 5 of your cards to make the full-house. No other cards can count.. just your best 5 card poker hand.

as most have said, u only use the 5 cards that give u your best hand.
as far as being impossible, this is just one scenario where its possible:
u n your opponent each hold a K n the board has 2 kings n 2 jacks. u could even have a K n an A.

The top five cards play. If you had a full house then all five of your cards were used. This would result in a split pot.

You have to play your best five card hands, there is no kicker in straights, flushes, or full houses.

In Texas Hold 'em, only your TOP FIVE-CARD COMBINATION is considered & the extra 2 cards are practically trashed.
Since you both had the same Five-Card Combo, the pot was split as normal.

I hate to say it, but your situation is impossible. You would need to have six kings in the deck for that to happen.
The answer to your question is because only five cards in total are considered for your hand. Each of you had the same five cards...your "kicker" would be the sixth card, and therefore doesn't count.
