I stayed at Scandic Malmen; it was really well located, the room was clean and nice and breakfast was quite good with a great variety of things to have, although the restaurant where breakfast was served was not very big. You can check this hotel, and many others in Stockholm in the following site:

It was really helpful for us, as the opinions there are from people who have stayed in those hotels and you can even see photos taken by tourists. That´s how I refused going to a hotel my travel agent said it was great, but I saw real photos from someone who had been there and changed the option. I did right, I must say!!

Try to get a place at the Salvation Army hotel. It is cheap, clean and affordable.

Just a bad one - Clarion hotels. The worst food you could think of too. All ingredients are good, but the chefs are worthless to prepare a meal.
