I love Harry Potter

I like the Harry Potter books, at least until book six. But the movies are too dark. I know evil is coming, and tinting things with gray gives viewers the subliminal message that the days are getting darker, but I still don't like the last two movies for it. Not to mention the constant change of director, and the loss of Richard Harris. For the next movie, though, I need to close my eyes before the movie starts and just try and wash the book from my mind, and appreciate the movie for what it is, and not hate it for everything it's going to leave out or change. These books are hundreds of pages long, so it would make for a four-hour movie to leave it all in. But from glimpses of photos, I take it Fred and George live up to their firework-ing potential.

I am a 30 year old mother of two sons ages 10 and 8 and I have read every book 2 or more times and I own all of the movies and I am completely obsessed with Harry Potter. I am reading book 5 again for the third time while waiting for the movie to come out! Ready for book 7 now! Is there a group I can join? I may need help lol.

I love the books, but I still think that they did the books justice (for the most part) in the movies. I like the books so much better because there are somethings that you just can't act, and work so much better in print. I really can't wait for July, the last (*sob*)book is coming out the 7th, and the 6th movie is coming out the 13th! I've been reading HP since 3rd grade, and I'm 14 now, so that's proof enough to me that J. K. Rowling is an amazing author!

Basically, both. The books provide the details while the movies give more life to the story. However I don't like it when the whole story can't fit into a single movie so some parts have to be left out.

I like the books better because even though it takes up more time reading the book while it takes small tym watching the movie, somtimes the movie director doesn't include some scence from the book wich make it not so exciting that's all...

Oh yeah! Happy Holidays!! ^_^

I like both, although the movie leaves out a lot of scenes from the book.

I like them both, I think the books are more detailed but the movies do a good job.
