How come people can have different vocal ranges and still sing better than others?

Anything can be a factor - skill, talent, genes, emotions, training, dedication etc..
Some have a natural talent and others might need help bringing the talent out. Some might lack confidence or perhaps a person just might not be totally into the art of singing

Some people were born to sing and other were trained at a young age.

it all depends on the vocal range and how you hear yourself too. but i think unless you have an injury, you can learn too.
