Ryan Seacrest gets about 2.5 million per year for his work on E. But don't forget he is also pulling in tons of cash from American Idol, and his radio show.
The hosts on MTV make considerably less. I would say something in the low six figure range, to mid 5 figure range. One reason MTV hosts make a lot less is they tend to not stay around that long. MTV has the tough task of staying fresh, and pleasing a young demographic, so they are always going to be replacing people with what ever is the "flavor of the month" or whoever is popular with teens at any given time.
