I'm a pretty quiet shy bi-curious/gender confused girl in NYC...where do I go to meet nice supportive people to make friends and figure out what I really like and who I really am? I'm a bit confused...I know I'm not a lesbian, but not totally straight, and my feelings about being female in general go back and forth between feeling super femme to sort of butch...Help??

New York Area Bisexual Network may help you out. I can sympathize--I'm also a bit shy in real life, and I'm not into bars unless there's good music.

You might want to try the GBLT community center in Chelsea. They have great events and resources.

Long Island here!

go to a night club in NYC, I live right across the way in NJ and I know that there are tons of good clubs, see who you are most attracted too, and who knows, maybe you will defeat your shyness?
