My husband and I put up our Christmas lights last year in the rain and we are both fine. As long as you don't go out in the lighting if any that is. We had to put a quick halt last year because of lighting.

Sounds like you'd best get out there....she sounds like she means business. If the lights are outdoor lights, the rain is not a problem, but, point out that when you fall a rain soaked ladder, that's a problem. Might want to wait till it's light out too. Be careful!! My best friend works in the emergency dept at a local hospital, and apparently they always see a lot of falling accidents at this time of year from putting up the lights.

Are you petrified of having taken aback or electrocuted if the lighting fixtures fixtures proceed to exist for some reason, or are you petrified of having taken aback at the same time as unplugging the lighting fixtures fixtures? in case you've been going to leave the lighting fixtures fixtures on besides, and in case you do not assume any risk to all people or any animals, purely go away them on. in case you want to exhibit them off and your petrified of having taken aback at the same time as unplugging the lighting fixtures fixtures out contained in the rain, you are able to help insulate your self by wearing rubber boots once you've any, and by wearing gloves. i'd ward off utilizing the skinny cotton gloves that ought to get moist. both leather-depending gloves or thick insulated gloves for chilly climate will be more effective. when you're considering utilizing rubber latex gloves or something similar, this can probable help, yet i does no longer use them in problem-free words with out including leather-depending or insulated gloves as a shielding cover. in case you nevertheless choose yet another technique of protection, attempt status on a rubber floor mat, and use in problem-free words one hand at the same time as unplugging your twine, preserving the different hand to your self (per chance putting your free hand on your lower back pocket). good luck.

No unless you get hit by lightning (pure electricity) and not as long as the plug stays dry and isn't laying in water before you put in into the outlet.
