I recently read a question about a 15 year who got smacked by her uncle. Does yahoo have anyway to report this not as spam, but as possible child abuse? This wasn't the first question that had someone being hurt in their question. Everyone else in the country, including doctors and social workers are required to report child and sexual abuse. Can Yahoo do anything about reporting this? If so, how do you notify the correct people at yahoo where you are not just having people skim a complaint breeze over it as just another number? Not doggin on yahoo, just wondering about children.

we (the people who read the questions) are not able to report it as we do not have the identifying information that yahoo has...that is why I am inquiring about yahoo reporting it, or if they have a special department to report it to...

That's a very good question and i am not sure if you can contact Yahoo! directly but you should go to the FBI or Police department. They can track down the question and how to help the person. Yahoo! might not be able to find any problems with the question and if they do see it as a problem they might also contact the Police and FBI. It is very important that you tell someone whether it be the Police, FBI, or somebody of importance. It should be addressed and you could really make a difference in somebodies life if you do. I reread your details that you added and you can contact the Police and the FBI who would be able to obtain the information if needed to.

First off, smacking a child isn't illegal. You are legally able to discipline a child as long as you don't cause permanent or serious injury.

But I don't think Yahoo could do that just because they have no way of knowing what is real or not. A doctor who sees a child with bruises is evidence worth reporting. But on the Internet anything could be fake.

It's up to anyone reading it to report it. Yahoo isn't the place to report it. The police are.
