There are several signs. First you will get breast buds. Then you will get underarm hair. Then pubic hair. Lastly you will get a discharge then between 6 and 18 months of a discharge you will get your period. Also, for more info on this matter go to www.beinggirl.com

You'll have "spotting" - or some lightly colored stuff in your panties for maybe a day or two. You will start your regular cycles within 6 months, but probably more like two months. So if you see the spotting, you know to be carrying a pad in your purse so that when you do start, you are prepared.

white discharge. that can happen like a year before. and if the rest of your body is already going through puberty
thats what happened to me.
but just be thankful if you havent started. i remember when i wanted to start, so i could be like all my friends and finally be a 'woman'
once i started, i regreted saying that. it sucks and you have do deal with it the rest of your life...every vacation, every inconvienience there could possibly be.
i got it when i went on a trip to hawaii. i got it when i went camping and had to share a tent with my whole family.
i got it when i was at a pool party at my friends house....
IT SUCKS

Cramps, mood swings...particularly being really crabby! Hair growing on your private parts if it hasn't already. Best way to know is to ask your mom when she started. You can pretty much bet you'll start when she did.
