Is the WiiConnect24 worth buying a wireless router? I don't have my XP networked. Just wondering if anyone has their new Nintendo networked and use the Internet on it much.

Down the road, yes, I do believe it will be worth having. The Internet, Weather and News channels are not available yet. Sharing your created Miis is a nice feature, but not necessary to enjoying gameplay. If you have a lot of friends who own the Wii, I would say that it is a must, but it is pretty much like e-mailing them.

My advice is to get the USB plug in. It will plug into your main computer and become a wireless port for it. But, in my opinion, I wouldn't run out to get one tomorrow. Look for sales after Christmas and pick one up at a better price.

If none of your units help instantaneous N then there isn't any longer a lot aspect in figuring out to purchase a instantaneous N router, till you assume to improve the different units in some unspecified time sooner or later. It sounds like what you somewhat favor to make investments in is adequate ethernet cable to positioned your router contained in the midst of the abode, so as that each and each and every easily one of your units are in decision. it is also worth remembering that the marketed decision of a router takes no account of walls and different obstructions, which will significantly decrease the decision. in case you do settle on to improve then get one with gigabit ethernet too. keep in concepts too that if the signal has to go back and forth diagonally by a wall between the router and the device then this is a lot an same because it passing by 2 walls.
