I brought her inside and schotch-taped a little red christmas hat on her head, put her by the christmas tree and took a picture of her to send to my vet. Was that mean? I know our vet will love it! Was a commititing chicken abuse! My neighber, after going hysterical, said I was.

JUST SEEING THE FIRST SENTENCE, I SAID "CUTE" TO MYSELF. READING THE REST, I THINK IT IS ADORABLE, IF YOU CAN PLEASE, USE THE PHOTO AS YOUR AVATAR....I REALLY WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT! I AM SUCH AN ANIMAL LOVER. I HAD 5 DOGS AT ONCE, BEFORE I MOVED OUT OF NY. I HAVE ONE (THEY ALL HAD A WONDERFUL FULL LIFE, THEY LIVED TO AT LEAST 15YRS AND THEY WERE BIG) LEFT OUT OF THE FIVE (LUCKY, 16YRS. A YELLOW LAB) AND NOW I JUST ADOPTED ANOTHER (SOPHIE...A BEAGLE, JUST TURNED 1YR.). I WISH I CAN HAVE MORE ANIMALS, LIKE A CHICKEN, ROOSTER, DEER, SHEEP, HORSE, ETC. HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY! GIVE THE CHRISTMAS CHICKEN A KISS AND A HUG FROM ME, LUCKY AND SOPHIE!

No. If you crazy glued the hat to her head, then that would have been chicken abuse. Or if you took the picture with her next to a bucket of KFC.

Edit: I don't get how she thinks she's a dog, though.

LOLOLOL That's amazing! I love you! If I had a chicken I would totally do that (or something like it). Your vet's going to have a good laugh. And "no" anyone who says that's abuse doesn't have their head screwed on right. Merry Christmas!

Putting a Christmas hat on YOUR pet chicken and snapping a photo of her is NOT animal abuse. Tell your neighbor to mind her/his own or just ignore her/him.

Some animals are influenced by others. I know this because i live on a farm with a duck, a donkey, and a deer. The duck walks around like he's a deer because they've spent their life together.

no, that's just having fun. as long as you aren't hitting the chicken or abusing it in some other way it is all right
