I am researching and writing a research paper on the assumption that race and inteliigence and intelligence are connected. Following is some more information:
"Race and intelligence is a controversial area of intelligence research studying the nature, origins, and practical consequences of racial and ethnic group differences in intelligence test scores and other measures of cognitive ability."
If you would, please state what you consider your race to be in one of the four major categories: Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic, and Black.
Also please state your GPA and your SAT Score for the New SAT.
Thank you.

Before you guys go all psycho on my a**, I'm trying to disprove the theory. It was a very controversial topic when the book came out a few year back with the scientist's research.
Well, If you know your IQ then put that, however most people dont know what there IQ is, and most students know what there SAT score is.
Oh, and I'm not worried about my safety. You guys seriously need to grow up if you take offense to this, or deem me racist.

Lol. People take this issue so seriously. For your information, GPA and SAT/New SAT scores hardly correlate with IQ anyway. About R = 0.5, which isn't that high. That means you could have high grades and be pretty dumb, or have low grades and be pretty smart.
Caucasian
GPA- Highschool, 4.0
University - Anywhere from 3.4 to 4.0
SAT (old) - 1590
GRE - Perfect
I won't state my IQ here.
As a response to some other people: I don't see why this topic is 'inappropriate' at all. I think you're an idiot. This type of behavior only propagates nonsensical racial/intelligence issues that don't need to exist. This whole 'hush hush' that revolves around race and intelligence is the biggest load of crap to ever hit the planet.
This 'hush hush' only furthers the problem, and it is self evidence in this topic.
Take your head out of your godamn **** and wake up. Some people are going to score better on tests than other people. That's the way life goes. If you don't talk about issues and just throw them out the door and attack people each time they arise, you are making the problem worse.
You're so busy trying not to be 'racist' (which this topic is not!) that you just come across as a an ignorant bigot that is causing a bigger problem than you think you're 'making better' by being all 'anti test talk'.
I find it ironic that you hate the test so much, yet the United states is still highly reliant on IQ to put you in your place in society. Why do you think they still havn't gotten rid of the SAT, even though it's a piece of trash test? Because it correlates with IQ, and with your place in society.
Yes, while you sit that stupid, long boring piece of test, your subconcious thoughts of what you're too afraid to say outloud are true; your intelligence is being tested. You're being put in your place.
I think the government should just stop beating around the bush and simply bring back the IQ test. That'll fix a lot of things. Really, that's all the whole education/college system is doing. It's acting as one giant prolonged IQ test to put you in your place. You don't go to school to learn, you go to school to propagate capitalism. And then you're told to be hush hush about intelligence issues because of course noone wants to admit that the whole education system is a bullshit resurection of the IQ mediocracy.
That is all :)

I'd prefer not to give out that information, however I'd like to remind you that regardless of the outcome of your poll (whether you get any results here or not) will tell you very little. The SAT doesn't measure intelligence, only scholastic ability. A person who's never been to college (and therefore doesn't even have a GPA) could have a higher IQ score than a person with a graduate degree. I don't even think that an IQ score is a good way of measuring intelligence, but even the most prominent psychologists are still debating that issue.
You also have to take into account other factors of a person's life. A person who belongs to a minority group may have a lower GPA than than a person of a majority group, but that doesn't mean that the color of their skin has affected their brains- it's a sad but simple fact that many minorities have to go to substandard schools and have to deal with social pressures that children of other races will most likely not have to deal with (violent gangs, prejudice, etc.). Then again, some races (particularly Asian) have the reputation of being "smarter" than others, but that doesn't mean their brains are more highly developed- they were raised in a society where scholastic success is especially important to young people.
I don't think you're gonna get many answers to your poll here, it just isn't appropriate. Sorry.

Well, by using only information from people who've taken the New SAT, you are horribly skewing your results. (You won't get anyone under 16 or over 22-ish.)
You are also assuming that the SAT measures intelligence, which it does not.
You are also ignoring the fact that the New SAT has proven itself to be FULL of errors, leading to incorrect scores for thousands of students.
You are assuming that GPAs reflect intelligence, which they do not.
I say you have a long way to go in learning how to conduct "research."
P.S. Common sense is enough to disprove this theory.

Not to be rude, but test scores do not prove how intelligent a person is. Some people may have book knowledge, but lack common sense. Looking at the order that you put the races in, it seems that a conclusion has already made.

i think of the human race is unquestionably clever. no longer low. a super volume. Do YOU pay interest to the flaws we invented? Do you pay interest to the flaws we destroyed with our intelligence? ¬_¬ So yeah, In different words, we are geniuses. we are on the ideal of the foodstuff chain, and incredibly took over the international and claimed as ours. The undesirable element is, it incredibly is ran by using clever minds with undesirable purposes.

'Anonymous W', for your health, you better stay anonymous. No matter how your question is phrased, the racism is obvious. Furthermore, tests are just (largely innacurate) little pieces of paper that show you've racked up a certain amount of points the way they taught you to.
Race: Unimportant.
State: Disgust.

Here's a better idea - don't. If you wanted to find this out for yourself, that's one thing.
But don't let some silly professor - or whoever told you to write this - to force you to do a frankly offensive poll.
It's quite possible that you're being asked to do this simply as an experiment. They might wish to see how many students refuse, how many are offended, how many querents are offended.....tell them this is an offensive project and you don't want to do it.
