Well, it helps to be naturally one of those dayglo redheads that sunburn in five minutes, but failing that. . .
You'll want to use a moisturizer or something with at least spf 15 in it- everyday that you so much as walk to the mailbox. You can also cultivate a very clear complexion. Two products that are good to try are St. Ives (of course) apricot scrub. Less known is a masque you can get in the Avon "Mark" catalog- a cucumber green mud rinse-off for blemish prone skin. It tingles and really clears up any imperfection you might have immediately.
If you do wear make up, a darker lip or eye shade will contrast nicely with paler skin, and call attention to it.
There are a few websites that deal with this. Here they are.
This one is a bunch of tips and recipes. If you don't want to make these yourself, Bath and Bodyworks has a "lemon milk" as well.

And this is one of my favorite websites just for fun reading- this lady dealt briefly with this issue once as well. Here is a link to that month's column.

Firstly, not all goths are pale. That's just an incorrect perception. That having been said, try covering up in the sun, using lemon juice on your skin. Gawthpallor has a pretty good skin recipe list, I forget which site they're linked to... Look around, though, it can't be that hard to find.

Wear dark clothes and stay away from the sun. I always get so pale in the winter time because I am not outside and I look really goth. Using true black eyeliner under your eyes and a dark grey or black eyeshadow helps too.

you could try buying suncreen with the highest SPF protection you can find and wear it on your skin at all times.....
or you could start wearing vail type clothing like some muslim women do. That will keep the sun from giving your skin some color.
and of course you could do what Micheal jackson does....he uses a type of skin lightener or skin bleach....u can find that at any walmart or drug store....but that stuff does hurt your skin in the long run...could give you wrinkles alot sooner and makes your skin ultra sensitive to all light...that's why MJ has to walk everywhere with an umbrella

use a blemish fader or dark spot treater that lightens skin. the effects are minimal so you won't end up with huge areas of your face bleached. you can find them in beauty supply shops in the moisturizer or face cream sections. you should also use Vitamin C cream which similarly treats dark spots and evens out skin tone. your best bet is to buy a lightweight face powder that you can dust over your face, which won't cake like a foundation.

I guess stay out of the sun shine, or make yourself sick.
Why would you want to look pale?
I'm a red head and I'm naturally pale, I hate it.
