You'll need an Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. You'll have a big edge if you come from top schools like Missouri and Northwestern. You'll need probably a 3.7 and a 28 ACT to get into Missouri with strong skills in English and Math (higher at Northwestern). Once in, you can declare your major as Journalism as long as you keep a certain GPA, probably 2.8 or something. The best students will get internships and the best interns will get low paying grunt jobs that give them a shot to work their way up.

I guess you'll have to take up a journalism course in college, which can be an independent course without any subsidiary courses cos I received brochures from various colleges in the past which were promoting such courses. You can also learn journalism through correspondence... some universities offer that.

If you indicate youi're a liberal, that should qualifty you for most media positions, or at least get your foot in the door.

Just start talking about how great Slick Willy (or some other slimebag) is to the interviewer, and you should be in like Flint.
