combine the x's.
2x^2=6 radical 2
then square both sides.
2x^4=6 * 2
divide by 2
x^4 = 6
square root, then square root again.
my calculator got 1.56508458

x^2 + x^2 = 6â2
2x^2 = 6â2
x^2 = 3â2
x = Â±â(3â2)
